I Saved 92% on My Groceries ! A Guide To Getting the Best Deals & Freebies

You've no doubt heard of extreme couponing. Most people are not able to get the types of deals these "extreme couponers" do, because we live in states where there is sales tax on groceries, or store policies prohibit the use of coupons being used in certain ways. You also hear about these awesome savings, but they never tell you that the people spent hundreds of dollars to purchase pre-clipped coupons or tons of Sunday newspapers, etc.

What you're going to learn in this book are the steps that will work for almost anyone, with little time or money spent.

You'll save on groceries, toiletries, home repair, restaurants, parties, and even learn how to make extra money in your spare time.

Did you know....you can save MORE than the cost of this book on your first shopping trip.

Here’s an example of items you will never again pay for once you read my book (you can almost always get them free):

Pastas & Sauces, Shampoos/Conditioners, Yogurt, Toothbrushes/Toothpaste, DVD Rentals

A Day of FREEBIES! Yay!

Yesterday (I forgot to post this then), I had a pretty good day of freebies.  Surprisingly, none were found in my mailbox.

It started when I woke up and got the Purina Pet food (both Dog and Cat food) from the last day of their giveaway.  All together, I got OVER $120 of free pet food/supplies from that giveaway.  :-)

Then, I got an email from BzzAgent, stating I was accepted into a Jim Beam Whiskey campaign.  I don't really drink, but it's something I can give as a gift.  So, I'll be getting free booze!  LOL

After that, I got a free sample of StadiumJerky, Beef Jerky.

And, then, I received an email stating I won 2 FREE passes to the sneak preview of the new Footloose movie.  Since I worked as an extra on that movie, I was anxious to see it.  Unfortunately, I have noone to go with.  :-(

At Target, I got 2 tubes of free Optic White toothpaste by Colgate (it's supposed to be really good).  *Today, I got 3 more free tubes.

And, lastly, I received a call while at Target last night, offering me a $50 research study about Video Games/Electronics.  So, that was nice.  I prefer doing studies that pay more, but $50 for 45 minutes is not too shabby.  Plus, they are kind-of fun.

I saved a little over 80% today on my shopping!

It's been a good week.  I saved just over 80% today.  Unfortunately, I'm running out of room in my freezer.

I stocked up on the following this trip:

(3) Jars of Ragu Cheese Sauce
(7) Jars of Ragu Spaghetti Sauce
(1) Box of Saltines Crackers
(2) Bottles of Hunt's Ketchup
(2) Boxes of Green Giant Frozen Roasted Potatoes
(1) Box of Aunt Jemima Pancakes
(1) Box of Aunt Jemima French Toast
(4) Sara Lee Chocolate Cream Pies
(3) Tubes of Colgate Optic White Toothpaste

All together it totaled $11.10 total, plus tax.  And, I saved $46.75...just $0.46 an item!

Wednesday, September 28, 2011

See what $0.49 buys....

I made my rounds today to Target, Publix and Pet Smart...and spent a total of $0.49 plus tax for:

2 bags of Whiskas Cat Food
1 can of Purina ProPlan Cat Food
2 tubes of Colgate Optic White Toothpaste

That's a 97% savings! Get my book so you can get these great deals too!

Tuesday, September 27, 2011

Saved $61.41 today. Only spent $19.14 for $80 of food!

Well, today I had to head to Cartersville. I had some special discounts that were only good at the stores there. But, I got some good deals so it was worth it. I am glad I can stick to my neck of the woods from now on though.

Here's what I got for $19 and some change:

(1) 10-pack of mini Kit-Kats
(1) Kahiki Honey Chicken
(4) Digiornos Pizzas
(3) New York Texas Garlic Toast
(8) Bags of WaterMaid Rice
(1) Giant Box of Lucky Charms
(1) Bottle of Pantene Shampoo
(1) Pork Tenderloin
(1) Cream Cheese
(1) Pack of Hostess Chocolate Covered Donuts
(1) Bistro Chef Salad

Now, my biggest issue is finding room in the freezer for everything. Still gotta get a lot of frozen stuff this week at Publix. :-)

Thank you Cheer for my FREE shirt!

Well, as you know, if you've been reading my blog...Cheer was running this Dig It Get It video giveaway. Each day you would watch the music video and click on items with a highlighted box on them.

Each day different items were given away. I managed to get a few things, like boxer shorts, an Ikea desk chair, a canvas satchel bag, socks, and a shirt....as well as free samples of Cheer.

I've received most of my items, but just got my shirt. It looks better out of the plastic wrapping, but it's always nice to get free stuff.

Buy my book to find out how you can get more free items (I've gotten a $400 grab bag with Armani Cologne, as well as getting free movie tickets, Blurays, food items, giftcards, etc...).

Just $0.86 for Tea, Soy Sauce, and 6 Bags of Rice!

I went to Ingles today, and got all this for just $0.86 plus tax.

Not bad for:

6 bags of Rice
A Gallon of Tea (I drank some before taking the picture)
Kikkomann Soy Sauce

It was a small trip, but gotta love spending less than $1.

Spent only $2.33 (plus tax) , and got all of this!

Well, I meant to post this yesterday with the Purex deal, but didn't take the picture yet, so here it is.

I got 4 boxes of cereal (the BIG boxes), 4 bottles of BBQ sauce, a thing of LifeSaver Mints (85-ct), 2 bags of Mahatma White Rice (not in pic), and some Crackerfuls for only $2.33 plus tax.

FREE PUREX FOR EVERYONE!!!!

I just got back from CVS where I got 8 bottles of Ultra Purex for FREE. I had to pay tax, but that was only 12 cents a bottle. These bottles do 25-33 loads each....so that's enough to last me at least 18 months.

I was actually going to get 2 more, but they were sold out (there were like 30 bottles when I walked in the store, but they were going fast), so...I got a raincheck (now, I can get 8 more bottles for free later this month).

Thursday, September 8, 2011

Received my FIRST 2 FREE items from the Cheer Dig It Get It giveaway!

Everyone around me has been receiving their free SWAG from Cheer this week, and out of the 5 prizes I won, I hadn't received anything. That is, until this morning. I opened my front door and 2 of my packages were there, finally. They were the pair of socks I won, and the satchel bag I won.

Now, I'm just waiting on the boxer shorts, the button down plaid shirt, and the Ikea desk chair I won. :-) I hope Cheer repeats this giveaway soon. It was so easy to win, and one of the funnest giveaways I ever took part in. I actually found myself setting ym daily schedule around this promotion. :-)

Got $30 of stuff for only $5.82 plus tax at CVS today.

I had to take a trip to CVS today, because I had a Register Reward that was expiring.

I also received coupons in my email box for $5 off and $4 off a $20 purchase. So, all together it was $14 off a $20 purchase.

I couldn't think of what to buy. I was going to buy toilet paper because I can never get great deals on the kind I use, but I stumbled across a clearance isle, and they had some canned fruit (canned peaches, fruit cocktail, etc...) on sale for 75% off. I also got some freezer pops for 75% off.

I needed some cat litter, and was going to use the free $20 Target giftcard I got in the mail, but decided I could get it here instead.

Then, I stumbled upon an iPad dock/holder. Probably not the greatest quality, but it's free after my discounts, so why not? :-)

And, to make sure I was over the $20, I grabbed a Nestle Drumstick ice cream (I had a $2 off coupon). ***Not in the picture, because I had to eat it before it melted. :-)

All together, it cost me $5.82 plus tax, and I saved $24.99. Whoo-hoo!

Thursday, August 18, 2011

Not a bad haul for $8.52 + tax. :-)

I just got back from Kroger, and got quite a haul for under $9.

The sale starts Sunday, but since it was technically Sunday (after midnight), they price adjusted everything for me.

Here's what I got:

4 Boxes of Cereal
2 Gallons of Milk
2 (Giant) Tubs of Sour Cream
4 Toothbrushes
4 Ivory Bodywashes
2 Brownie Mixes (Family Size)

All together, with coupons and sales pricing, I saved $49.00 That's pretty good. Now, I need to eat a lot of cereal, because it's hard for me to go through milk that fast. I have 2 gallons now! :-)

Had a good day at CVS today! $8.32 for over $70 of stuff.

Well, every week CVS seems to be having these Gas Card promotions.

It's where you spend $30 (before coupons) on specific products, and you get a $10 gas card.

Normally, there's really nothing of value to me, so I've never participated. This week, however, there was a sale on Herbal Essence or Aussie products, and they were included in the sale, as was some Scott Toilet Paper, and M&Ms.

Well, I had coupons for all of this...so it's a better deal.

Originally, I was going to get 6 Herbal Essence Shampoos (I have tons of Conditioner already), 6 Aussie Hair Gels, and a bag of M&Ms. That would total my $30 ($32.82 plus tax, actually).

I needed to separate this into 2 transactions, though, because I had 6 Herbal Essence/Aussie coupons and you can only use 4 per checkout. The coupons were for $3 off a styling product (like Hair gel, or mouse) if you bought a shampoo or conditioner. So, those coupons took off $18.

That would leave me paying $14.82 plus tax. And, still getting a $10 gas card as well, FREE.

I also added 2 Hershey candy bars because I had coupons that made them FREE.

When I had the first transaction paid for, I received a $3 off coupon on my receipt...so, I decided to get some Scott Toilet Paper (1000 sheet rolls) that was on sale for $7.49. I needed some, and with the $3 off coupon, it was really cheap.

So, when all was said and done, I got all 12 Herbal Essence/Aussie products, the 2 candy bars, bag of M&M's and the 12-roll package of Toilet Paper for $18.32 plus tax. If you take out $10 because I got the Gas card, that was only $8.32 for over $70 of stuff.

And, now, I'll use some of the items to sell in gift baskets on eBay, to make a profit which will pay for what I kept, and for my next shopping trip. :-)

FREE Cereal in the mail....yayyyy!

I had signed up for a sample box of cereal on the 5th of this month...and today it came.

But, the box was pretty big. When I opened it up, there was a full-size box of the cereal, along with several $1 off coupons that could make for some really cheap cereal if there's a sale (possibly even free).

I'm not a huge fan of Fiber One products, but this cereal looks pretty good from the picture on the box. :-)

Besides that, I just got accepted into a program where I get a free set of Dr. Scholl's Gel Inserts to try out and review. :-) It's like it's Freebie Friday~!

5 Pillows for my bed for only $2.50 + tax! Holy Cow!

I forgot to post this the other day (2 days ago), but I had a good trip to Publix, Target and Kroger.

I got over $55 of stuff for just $9.65.

Here's the list of items:

Publix (Cost $0.85 + tax):

French's Spicy Brown Mustard
20 ct. box of Bandaids (Finger and Knuckle)

Kroger (Cost $6.33 + tax):

6 Super Stack Cans of Pringles
2 Boxes of Pop Secret Popcorn
1 Bag of Kindey Beans (Dry)
1 Box of Pasta Roni
1 Box of Ronzoni Garden Delights Penne Pasta
1 Wisk Detergent (50 oz)

Target (Cost $2.50 + tax):

5 Room Essentials Standard Bed Pillows

Overall a good day. I even saw some sales for free items I can get with some coupons I had (just not on me). So, I'll be picking those up on my next trip.

My Cat Treats Arrived!!!! Yay!

How can you beat $6.90 for $52 of cat food/treats? Gotta love that MrChewy.com promo last week. Staying up at the computer pays off.

It seemed too good to be true, but these people keep their word, and filled the orders from customers using the $50 off of a $50 purchase coupon. And with shipping only costing $4.95, it was a steal (especially since most people's orders weighed way over 20 lbs each).

Well, my package arrived today, and my cats were very pleased to get tons of treats (I use this food as treats because it's most cost effective, and my cats LOOOVVVEEEE it)!

These types of deals usually only last a few minutes. Buy my book so you'll know how to get notified about them in time to get in on them.

Tuesday, July 12, 2011

I just got 2 FREE movie tickets to see Cars 2 !!!

I just won 2 free tickets to see the movie Cars 2 in theaters. They cover up to $7.50 per ticket.

Gotta love freebies. :-)

At the same time I was winning the second ticket, I also won an entry into the Mario Kart K'Nex sweepstakes.

They are accepting 300 entries a day, only through this week, and at the end of the time 10,000 people will be entered.

Well, 9,995 of those entries will get a Luigi Action figure (like a Lego man). The other 5 though, get a Mario figure and win a golden ticket.

What that gets those 5 people is Nintendo Wii system, the complete product line of Mario Kart K'Nex toys ($600 + value), and a trip for 3 to the K'Nex headquarters. I'm entered 6 times, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. :-)

Unexpected Freebies in the mail!!!!

I just opened a package that I thought was something else, and it turned out to be 2 full sized bottles of Redken Intra Force. I received a 30-day supply of this hair system a month or so ago (and they were small bottles...valued at $40). These huge bottles will last me 6 months. Whoo-hoo.

Plus, I got an email stating that the deal I got on cat food/treats will be delivered tomorrow. $50 of cat food and treats (the brand I normally buy), delivered for just $1.95 (there was a $50 off promo), plus $4.95 s/h. Gotta love saving $50 in 30 seconds.

And, lastly, I'm looking forward to winning free movie tickets to go see Cars 2. So, overall a good afternoon.

Today I spent under $7 for $80 of groceies/stuff!

Well, I had to make an unexpected trip to the stores today, because one of the items at Publix and at Ingles, as well as some of the items at Kroger were either going off sale or my coupons would be expired. So, today was the day to hit all 6 stores: Publix, Kroger, Kohl's, Target, Wal-Mart, and Ingles. I'm exhausted just thinking about it. LOL

Well, I did good. I spent $6.63 plus tax for a lot of stuff:

(6) Cans of Chef Boyardee Pastas
(2) 33-load Bottles of Purex
(2) Banquet Frozen Dinners
(1) Nintendo DS Game

Thursday, July 7, 2011

I scored a GREAT deal on cat treats last night!!!!

Well, my cats love treats, but those little bags of treats that cost $1-$2 for a couple treats are out of my price range.

I started buying Fancy Feast Gourmet Dry food instead for treats. At my local Ingles, they have the 1 lb bags (decent size) for $2.48. That's about a week's worth of treats for them (they eat them a few times a day...and I have 2 cats, and a stray I feed once in a while).

At Wal-Mart, they sell a 3 lb bag for around $7. I'll sometimes get that.

Well, this new company, MrChewy.com, had a promo last night that was $50 off your order, and you pay flat shipping of $4.95.

So, I decided to get 2 of the 7 lbs bags they offer ($15.99 each), and 2 of the 3 lb bags ($7.99 each), and added a bag of Greenies treats, to put it over $50, so I could use the coupon.

Total after the $4.95 shipping was $6.90 for $50 worth of treats. Wow! I cannot wait til arrives. I'll have treats for months, and a nice cut in my monthly budgets. :-)

Yesterday was my shopping round-up day!

I started off the afternoon going shopping. I hit Publix, CVS, Kroger, and Target. Luckily, they are all fairly close to one another.

Here's what I got:

Publix (I saved $18.38):

French's Mustard (paid $0.34)
60-ct. Box of Band-Aids (paid $0.24)
10 Kid Cuisine Frozen Dinners (paid $0.50 each).

CVS (I saved $15.05):

4 Oral-B Advantage 3D Whitening Toothbrushes (paid $0.25 each)
Hershey's Candy Bar (paid $0.00...FREE)

Kroger (I saved $8.10):

10 Banquet Frozen Dinners (paid $0.19 each)

Target (I saved $10.76):

4 LG. Gillette Body Washes (paid $1.69 each)
4 Med Gillette Body Washes (paid $0.00...FREE)

So, overall....$52 in savings...and I only spend around $15 plus tax. Whoo-hoo!
